AMD Radeon 780M Mobile Graphics Performance tested in 3DMark
A preliminary performance test of the AMD RDNA3 integrated GPU, the Radeon 780M, has been conducted by Chinese tech outlet “Golden Pig Upgrade”. The test was performed on an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor (codenamed Phoenix) with an 8-core Zen4 CPU and the RDNA3 GPU. The GPU, with 12 Compute Units clocked up to 3.0 GHz, boosted up to 2.8 GHz in the test, resulting in 2486 graphics points in 3DMark TimeSpy at 25W and 2791 points at 54W. The performance of the Radeon 780M was found to be 8% to 22% faster than the Radeon 680M (RDNA2 iGPU) from the Rembrandt APUs. AMD has not confirmed the launch date for its Ryzen 7000 APUs, but they are expected to be available in March.
