Minisforum UM773 Lite: A Mini PC with High-Performance Laptop Power
The MINISFORUM UM773 Lite is a compact mini PC that boasts the power of a high-performance laptop. Measuring just 128 x 128 x 48mm, it is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS Rembrandt-R processor, support for up to 64GB of RAM, and a range of ports including a USB4 port, 2.5 GbE Ethernet jack, and two HDMI ports. The UM773 Lite also features two SODIMM slots, an M.2 2280 slot, and a 2.5 inch bay for storage, as well as a WiFi & Bluetooth card, active cooling, and liquid metal applied to the CPU.
The UM773 Lite’s AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS chip is a modest upgrade over AMD’s previous-gen Ryzen 7 6800H or Ryzen 7 6800HS, but MINISFORUM reports that it scores 5% better than a Ryzen 7 6800H chip in Cinebench R23’s single-core benchmark and 8% better in multi-core performance. The new chip’s CPU cores can hit speeds up to 4.75 GHz, slightly faster than the previous-gen versions, and the default TDP for the UM773 Lite is set to 54 watts, compared to 45 watts for the Ryzen 7 6800H and 35 watts for the Ryzen 7 6800HS.
The UM773 Lite’s range of ports includes a USB4 port, USB Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, two HDMI ports, a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port, a 3.5mm combo audio port, and a DC power input. The computer is capable of handling up to three 4K/60Hz displays or a single 8K/60Hz display.
