Xiaomi Mi 11 with Snapdragon 888 and 120Hz OLED display announced
Xiaomi announced Mi 11 on 28th December 2020 making it the first Snapdragon 888 phone in the world. The Mi 11 is the successor to the Mi 10 and the changes to the design appear minor. Xiaomi showed the Chinese variant of the phone which features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The Snapdragon 888 is the latest 5G equipped smartphone processor which is expected to power a host of flagship phones in the coming months.

The main highlights of the Mi 11 CN Version include a Snapdragon 888 processor, a 108MP Triple Camera, 8/12GB of RAM and 128GB ROM, 6.81 inches 2K AMOLED 120Hz display, Wireless Charging and 55W fast charging.
Xiaomi seems to be following in the footsteps of Apple and in removing the power brick. Lei Jun confirmed this at the launch event. The Mi 11 has been available on preorder and started shipping on 1st January.
The 8GB+128GB version is priced at about $612 (¥3,999), the 8GB+256GB version will cost $666 (¥4,299) while the 12GB+256GB version will cost $728 (¥4,699). Xiaomi is also launching the Mi 11 Lei Jun Signature Edition named after Xiaomi’s co-founder and CEO. This limited edition will feature Lei Jun’s signature at the back, 3D textured glass as well as a gift box packaging.
At the launch event, Xiaomi also unveiled the Mi AIoT AX6000 Router which is the world’s first router supporting 4K QAM technology. The router will support up to 6000Mbps wifi transmission speeds and 4×4 160 MHz bandwidth.
We are hoping to see the global versions of the Mi 11 in the coming weeks. We are yet to hear a word about any Pro or Lite versions of the mi 11.
